Letter to Sacha Stone Regarding Inciting Political Violence
During Conspirituality 21, Matthew read a letter we submitted to Sacha Stone. Here’s the text in full.
Dear Sacha Stone,
We’ve become aware of several instances of you inciting political violence.
During the Line in the Sand event, you said:
“Rather than pushing back against legislators, why not get rid of them altogether? I mean, for the love of god; when we’re dealing with treason, it doesn’t get more serious than that.
When we deal with agendas which are leading to genocide by any other name, surely it’s about evisceration, it’s about eradication, it’s about wholesale takedown of the godless goddamn toxin in our civilizational midst.
We should not be negotiating with any ambiguity. This is a leviathan. This is a Medusa and we need to take it out altogether.
Now, I love the beautiful messaging we’ve got from all the experts coming in today, building up a holographic picture of Christ-ed energy, of the righteous aspect of the human spirit. We all know how this thing ends, we all know righteousness and good prevails, we even wrote the script in some ways at the collective over-soul level….”
And later:
“Tara Thornton is co-founder of Urban Global Health Alliance and Freedom Angels who in 2019 in California launched civil disobedience as part of the worldwide stand for health, freedom, and fundamental human rights, which as we said before, makes her something short of a domestic terrorist. We welcome domestic terrorists to this panel. Tara, you’re very welcome.”
In August, you introduced an interview with two Australian anti-lockdown activists by saying:
“I’m going to use blunt language. What the fuck is going on in Australia tfhat is called treason, people: treason. Look the word up. T R E A S O N. It is punishable by death. It always has been. This is the time friends, Antipodeans. This is the time there was not going to be another time unless we shake this down. Farnos, Renee. Welcome. Let’s speak very bluntly and very boldly. Let’s not couch our language in this broadcast because we’ve all been couching our sensitive language, paying attention to our syntax and to our deep desire to express the fire of rage that’s in our bellies and what is going on to our brothers and sisters. You guys live in Australia. It’s happening to you. You are the sacrificial harvest. Speak to us.”
We’re reporting on rhetoric like this for our podcast and in other publications, especially in light of escalating political violence in the US. Do you care to clarify your endorsement of political violence?
Specifically:
When you call for legislators to be removed, “eviscerated”, and eradicated, who are you calling on to accomplish this? Are you rejecting nonviolent democratic processes?
When you suggest that successful political violence is spiritually foretold, are you using an apocalyptic Christian framework?
It sounds like you’re using the phrase “domestic terrorists” in jest. Is that really appropriate?
Treason hasn’t been punishable by death in Australia since 1914. Is there some other law by which you would like to execute your opponents?
